Director tools

Director tools take one clip and give you one clip back. Each card quotes what it needs and what it costs before you start, every run goes through a plan sheet, and the result lands under Assets → Generated. The same tools are available from the editor's Inspector on a selected clip. Runs are listed at Director → Runs.

Type one change — make it snow, set it at night, give him a red coat — and MiniMax H3 Max re-films the clip. Everything you did not mention stays as it was. A prompt is required. Clips of 5–15 s; about 1–3 minutes. 24 credits/s, 48 in HD.

#Change background

Give a clip and a background photo. The person, their words and their movement are kept; the setting is replaced. 5–15 s. 24 credits/s, 48 in HD.

#Replace the person

Give a clip and a photo of the character you want in it. Background, camera and timing stay unchanged. Up to 30 s; about 2–6 minutes. 24 credits/s.

#Upscale to HD

Rebuilds detail up to 1920 pixels on the long edge. It refuses clips that are already HD. Up to 30 s. 6 credits/s.

#Add sound

Generates a soundtrack that follows the picture; an optional prompt steers the mood. Up to 30 s; about 30–90 seconds. 1 credit/s.

#Lip-sync to a voice

Give a clip and an audio track; only the mouth is redrawn. Up to 30 s. 15 credits/s.

#Make it vertical

Re-films a widescreen clip as 9:16 for phones. It refuses clips that are already vertical. 5–15 s. 24 credits/s, 48 in HD.

#Style Studio (try-on)

Director → Try-on turns a photo or a short video of you into a five-second video wearing an outfit built from real, shoppable catalogue items (tentree US/CA/international and Allbirds US/CA).

1. Upload a photo (up to 12 MB) or a 2–15 second video (up to 64 MB) after giving consent.
2. Build the outfit from the catalogue.
3. Choose 480p, 768p (default) or 1080p and generate: 75 / 120 / 240 credits.

The result is an approximation of how the clothes look, not a sizing system. Checkout and shipping stay with the retailer. Daily allowances apply: guests one free preview, Free 5 a day, Creator 30, Pro and Studio unlimited; at most two try-ons in progress at once.

Director can also plan a multi-step job for you: describe what you want and it proposes a sequence of tool runs, priced before anything is spent. Planning is rate-limited per account and costs no credits; only the runs you approve do.
